Meet Christopher O'Barsky, Salisbury Fire Department — 2025 Veteran
Christopher O'Barsky is a seasoned first responder with over 34 years of dedicated service in the fire and emergency medical services field. For 29 of those years, he has served as a career firefighter and paramedic, steadily rising through the ranks at the Salisbury Fire Department in Salisbury, Maryland.
His leadership journey has taken him from Acting Lieutenant to Captain, then Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief of Administration, and currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Operations.
(Click the image to enlarge)Outside of his professional life, Chris has been happily married to his wife, Tara, for over 27 years. Together, they have two children–Noah (26) and Riley (21)–and recently celebrated the birth of their first grandchild, Oliver, in April.
