Meet SSG Anthony Crincoli — 2018 Veteran

Anthony was born in Red Bank and raised in Toms River, New Jersey. After graduating high school, Anthony enlisted in the United States Army. After completing boot camp, he completed Infantry Training at Ft. Benning, Georgia.

In 2004, PFC Crincoli received his first assignment to the 1-12 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. At that time PFC Crincoli served as an Infantry Team Leader for six months while the unit was awaiting NCO's to fill key leadership positions.

SPC Crincoli deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Task Force Ironhorse, Forward Operating Base (FOB) Prosperity from 10 December 2005 to 2 December 2006. While assigned to TF Ironhorse, SPC Crincoli was hand selected by members of a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Unit to guard a safehouse inside the city of Baghdad.

SPC Crincoli was redeployed on 27 November 2007 to 6 February 2009 assigned to Delta Company 4th Infantry Division Personal Security Detachment and promoted to SGT. Some of his unit's responsibilities were the safety of high ranking officers, high ranking non-commissioned officers, political leaders, and USO entertainers.

SGT Crincoli was reassigned duty stations and sent to Ft. Carson, Colorado. SGT Crincoli coordinated and assisted in the training of two Ranger Battalions: 1/75 Rangers and 3/75 Rangers for their mission in Afghanistan. He was Deployed for Operation New Dawn in 2010 - 2011. During this deployment he was promoted to SSG.

SSG Crincoli would go on to finish his service at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. There he was assigned to the 434th Field Artillery Brigade. SSG Crincoli served as a Basic Training Instructor and taught Infantry Tactics and Drills to trainees. SSG Crincoli was later assigned to Ft. Sill Warrior Transition Unit as he was treated for injuries he received over the years. On August 15, 2015 SSG Crincoli was Medically Retired.
